در این دیدار دو طرف درباره موضوعات دو جانبه و مسایل مهم منطقه ای هم گفت و گو كردند.

روسیه مخالف تحریم های یكجانبه غرب به سركردگی آمریكا در باره ایران می باشد و آن را مانع حل و فصل سیاسی برنامه هسته ای این كشور و از سرگیری مذاكرات میان تهران و گروه 1+5 می داند.

وزیر امور خارجه روسیه نیز به تازگی از تحریم های یكجانبه واشنگتن علیه ایران با استناد به قوانین داخلی آمریكا انتقاد كرد و آن را عامل افزایش تنش ها دانست.

سرگئی لاوروف گفت: این رویكرد بر اساس همه معیارهای بین المللی ، غیر قابل قبول است.

وی با تاكید بر اینكه 'هدف این گونه تحریم ها سرنگونی ساختارهای سیاسی كشورها است'، خاطر نشان كرد: روسیه هرگز در این تحریم ها شركت نمی كند.

وی تصریح كرد: تحریم های یكجانبه اقدامات واحد ما را در باره برنامه هسته ای ایران مخدوش می كند.
